TURBO JACK

The Salmo Turbo Jack

There are several topwater prop baits on the market today, but nothing can hold a candle to the all new Turbo Jack! The sleek design makes the Turbo easy to cast and retrieve all day long. The slim body profile will result in more hook-ups and the hard slapping tail blade lets fish know there is a new lure in town. No wood here. The super tough, high density foam body will last for years. The finish on a Salmo lure is designed to withstand the punishment of biggest teeth you can find.

More About the Turbo Jack

The Salmo Turbo Jack

Turbo Jack Junior

Now anglers looking for that same loud water slapping tail in a smaller profile will find it in the Turbo Jack Jr. Easy to cast, great dynamics in the water. The all new Turbo Jack Jr. is truly the best if the best for a topwater prop bait. Fishing a Turbo Jack some say is so easy anyone can do it, but actually there is trick to getting more strikes.

It does not make a difference if you are using the Turbo Jack or the smaller Turbo Jack Jr. The model you pick is simply a personal decision; the larger Turbo Jack can cast well, but might be too large for some anglers who do not own super heavy muskie type tackle to cast such a large lure. The Turbo Jr. can easily be fished on heavy bass tackle.

Adjusting the tail blade from time to time is a good idea to change the level of noise the blade creates. Some like the blade popping the water, others like it swooshing along the surface. We recommend you keep changing up the shape of your blade until you feel the fish are starting to react to it.

Speed is another key factory. The standard rule is that you should fish slower when fishing over deeper waters and faster when you are over shallow waters. One important factor to remember about the Turbo Jack Series, is that Muskies will surely follow it to the boat, so be ready to drop your rod tip deep into the water and start pulling the lure in a series of large circles with your rod tip or even a figure eight with your Turbo Jack right at the tip of your rod . Even with this topwater lures the method is deadly. A Muskie will see the sudden change in direction and depth and this often triggers a strike. So many times anglers fishing topwater lures fail to use what is called the figure eight at the boat thinking that it will not work. IT DOES!
